ITS Equipment Checkout

FAQ

What can I use the checkout equipment for?
All technology is to be used for university-related purposes only; not for personal use.  Primary use of equipment should be for class projects.  WTAMU recognized student organizations can check out equipment for sanctioned events.

How much does it cost?
There are no costs involved with checking account equipment as long as the equipment is returned on time, in the same good condition it was in when checked out and with all of the parts and cables returned.  Any stolen, broken or missing items must be paid for and a university hold will be placed on your student account until the cost is repaid.

How long can I keep it?
There is a 3-Day limit on equipment reservations.  This is necessary to ensure that all students have access to a limited inventory of equipment.

How do I make an equipment reservation?
Contact the Academic Technology Department at 806.651.7904 or
Or stop by the office in the Marmaduke Internet Innovation Center, Room 53, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.

What is required to checkout equipment?
You must be a current student (attending classes in the current semester) who needs to borrow equipment for a university purpose.  You must have a valid Gold Card and bring it with you.  You will have to sign a contract that states you will bring the equipment back on time, in the same condition it was in when you received it and with all the pieces and parts that go with it.
